You can be selfish and give of yourself at the same time. I am guilty of not being selfish enough. Offering to help others when I should be earning a living. As with most things in life, it's about balance. But I find that many people aren't finding this balance. They rationalize about external factors (kids, spouse, work, etc) and never truly capitalize on their time because it's going out the window to other areas.
